Police have launched a manhunt for bandits who spent Wednesday night robbing people in at least three parishes.
From the north to the south several people were pounced upon as they made their way along dark lonely roads.
The armed culprits, after sticking up their victims, made off with cellphones, cash and jewellery among other things.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch confirmed that the force was investigating a number of robberies involving three men in a vehicle who were armed with guns.
While he did not give the specific locations and the number of people who were attacked, Welch said the police were urgently looking for the robbers.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that one of the victims was shot in the leg.
The WEEKEND NATION investigations revealed that the attacks took place in St John, St George and St Philip when the victims were alone. (MB/AC)
