Quintyne leaves England in a spin

BRIDGETOWN – Teenaged spinner Shaquana Quintyne took a career-best five for 16 as the West Indies defeated England by 11 runs in the third match of the Women’s Tri-Nation Twenty20 International cricket series at Kensington Oval on Friday.
Sent in, the West Indies posted a challenging 140 for six with Stafanie Taylor anchoring the innings for the top score of 40 off 47 balls with three fours.
After a run-a-ball 28 from Kyshona Knight, which was laced with two sixes and a four, the West Indies’ innings was given a late boost by the big-hitting of Deandra Dottin (32 off 19 balls, 3×6) and Stacy-Ann King (24 off 10 balls, 2×4, 2×6).
The West Indies then restricted England to 129 for eight after their were given a rousing opening stand of 69 in 9.4 overs by captain Charlotte Edwards (39 off 40 balls, 3×4) and Lauren Winfield (36 off 25 balls, 3×4, 1×6).
SCORES: West Indies 140-6 in 20 overs (Stafanie Taylor 40, Deandra Dottin 32, Kyshona Knight 28, Stacy-Ann King 24; Danielle Hazell 3-19, Jenny Gunn 2-24.
