Man held with cannabis at airport

BARBADIAN Derek Decoursey Jones is expected to appear in the District A Magistrate Court today to answer charges related to the importation of 5.5 pounds of cannabis.
Jones, 41, of Block 4A, Ferniehurst, Black Rock, St Michael, arrived from Jamaica yesterday and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel after clearing Immigration at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
A search by Customs officials revealed two packages of compressed cannabis in a false compartment of his suitcase.
Jones is facing charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR)
