BARBADOS’ BIGGEST MARATHON series may have an even longer run next year.
The Run Barbados Series could eventually feature more fun events in the long run, moving from a three-day festival to a week-long series of events as the organisers continually seek to find ways to attract more overseas participants.
Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) sports manager Gregory Armstrong revealed the possible move for next year following Saturday’s 10K, ICBL 3K and Aquathon at Bay Street.
“We want to have a series of fun things happening and we might have more watersport components and then we will get into the Midnight Mile, 10K and half marathon and those events,” Armstrong explained of the possible logistics.
