Cost dispute

A young man took the term cost-cutting a little too seriously yesterday when he was told the price of a shirt.
The incident took place along Halls Road at a clothing vendor’s shop when he reportedly asked about the shirt and was told it cost $40. However, he refused to pay that amount, saying he would only spend $20, a witness reported.
This prompted the female operator’s brother to tell the man it was either their way or the highway – unless he wanted to get the police involved.
The threat to call cops reportedly upset the would-be shopper, raising tensions and escalating into a skirmish.
Our photographer was on hand moments later when the young man returned to the scene with a cutlass.
Here, eyewitnesses keeping clear as the young man brandished a cutlass. (AM)
