Rained out

NAPIER, New Zealand (AP) — The second One-Day International cricket match between New Zealand and the West Indies was abandoned because of rain last night without a ball being bowled.
Heavy rain was falling at McLean Park at the scheduled local start time of 2 p.m. and though it abated after about three hours, the umpires decided the outfield could not be made fit for play.
The West Indies lead the five-match series 1-0 after winning the first match at Eden Park on Thursday by two wickets; replying with 157 for eight to New Zealand’s 156.
The third match is in the South Island resort of Queenstown on Tuesday.
