Barbadians and visitors flooded the various nightspots between Sandy Lane in St James and Moon Town in St Lucy as they said goodbye to 2013 and ushered in 2014. At the Beach House in Sunset Crest, St James, patrons enjoyed a sumptuous dinner while being entertained by a live jazz band and DJ Music. Not too far away in Second Street, Holetown, the large crowd was in a party mood after having dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area.Long before midnight, many were gathering, with their food and drinks in tow, on the beach near the upscale Sandy Lane Hotel in time to see the spectacular display of fireworks on the stroke of midnight. At the popular Moon Town, many joined proprietor and Member of Parliament for the area, Denis Kellman, in dancing the night away to some oldie goldies, while others just mingled and wished each other a happy new year.
