THREE LATE-NIGHT births brought the tally for the first day of the New Year to nine.
Tanneisha Stoute and Davia Barnard-Skeete delivered boys at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at 9:59 p.m. and 10:46 p.m. last night respectively. Stoute’s bundle weighed in at six pounds, five ounces, while Barnard-Skeete’s son tipped the scales at six pounds, eight ounces.
Over at Bayview, Tya Odle’s daughter came into the world at 9:54 p.m. It was the exact time that same morning at Bayview that Abrielle Ramsay, who was the first child to born for 2014, was delivered.
Girls took a slight edge with the New Year babies totaling five, compared to four boys. (YB)
