STRESSING that trimming the Cabinet was not the way to go, Minister of International Business and Commerce Donville Inniss thinks that every member of the current group pulls his weight.
Inniss told the MIDWEEK?NATION in an interview that some of the criticism of the Cabinet was unjustified, adding that ministers were not “latter- day saints who have now discovered that there is some hardship in this country”.
“We have been dealing with it since January 15, 2008, so anyone who gives the impresssion we don’t care or we don’t know what is happening, are strangers to the truth,” he said shortly after attending a Rums of Barbados Master Mixer presentation ceremony, a Barbados Investment & Development Corporation initiative, on Monday.
“I am not going to comment about the size of the Cabinet, about who works and don’t work, but you can [be assured] that the Prime Minister and all of my Cabinet colleagues report for duty every day and they work on behalf of this country.
