Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) secretary general Erskine Simmons has expressed concern over his body’s budgets for a hectic 2014 calendar after witnessing the BOA’s primary source of funding – the Barbados Lottery – record a drop in profit last year.
Simmons made mention of the issue as the country’s Olympic body faces a hefty $1.6 million bill to fund teams to this year’s Commonwealth Games, Youth Olympics and Central American And Caribbean Games.
