Take Back aims at PSV workers

THERE IS MOVE afoot to put the brakes on poor driving and dress habits by crews of some public service vehicles (PSVs).
Stressing that only a few were guilty of acts that have “tarnished” the reputation of the entire service, Minister of Transport Michael Lashley said yesterday that Operation Take Back would soon be launched to stamp out indiscipline and take the routes back from pirates.
Addressing a meeting for operators at Combermere School Hall, Lashley said he had already asked members on the board of the Transport Authority to look at the matter.
Complaints against PSVs have ranged from speeding and ignoring traffic signals to playing loud music and dressing shabbily.
