EDEN?LODGE?Primary School’s  hockey players are on a mission to do the three-peat in the Consumer Guarantee Insurance National Sports Council Primary Schools 2014 Hockey Competition.
When the new season started yesterday at the Netball Stadium, the defending champions with Ragnall Yarde-Deane, who is in his third and penultimate year of primary school hockey action, booked their place for tomorrow’s quarter-finals.
Ten-year-old Yarde-Deane, who is looking to break his 2013 record of seven goals, notched up five for his team in their three matches.
Eden Lodge’s biggest test occurred in their match against neighbours Lawrence T. Gay as an early strike from Nathan Russell gave L.T. Gay the advantage.
However, a double from Yarde-Deane and one goal from Tyrel Demendonca-Johnson piloted unbeaten Eden Lodge into the quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory. (KB)
