SEVERAL ROADS in and around The City will be closed on Sunday.
The parade rehearsal for the commemoration of the 375th Anniversary of Parliament will take in place National Heroes Square from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and members of the public are asked to take note of the following traffic management plan.
The following roads will be closed:
Trafalgar Street, Broad Street (from Prince William Henry Street to High Street), High Street, Wharf Road and north-bound traffic on the Charles Duncan O’neal Bridge.
The following traffic diversions will be in effect:
Traffic from Lower Broad Street will be diverted onto Prince William Henry Street;
Traffic travelling to The City from Bay Street will be diverted onto Jemmotts Lane;
Traffic from St Michael Row will be diverted south-bound onto the Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge.
Pedestrians will not be allowed on Trafalgar Street. They will be directed onto Marhill Street, High Street and the board walk along Wharf Road.
There will be ‘no parking’ on the following roads:
Belmont Road, Constitution Road, Martindales Road, St Michael Row, Bridge Street, Fairchild Street, Trafalgar Street, Magazine Lane, Palmetto Square, Palmetto Street, Marhill Street and Rickett Street.
Police Officers will be on duty to assist with the direction of traffic and where necessary, temporary traffic signs will be put in place. (PR)
