THEY WERE just in for a few hours but the Virginia State University Gospel Chorale left a lasting impression on those patrons who attended a free concert sponsored by the United States of America Embassy earlier this evening.
The event, staged at the Frank Collymore Hall, marked the embassy’s contribution to celebrating Black History month.
The chorale won over its audience with infectious vocals punctuated with lots of movement as they told the story of Black America gospel through the years. (JS)
