ONE HOUSE was destroyed and another damaged in an early morning fire at Richmond Gap, St Michael.
The house which was destroyed was unoccupied, while the home of Trevor and Joycelyn Hoyte was slightly damaged.
With the help of others who came on the scene, Trevor started to remove furniture from their home. Fortunately, only the guttering, a window and some trimming was damaged.
Two water tenders, along with eight fire officers under the command of Acting Sub-officer Ryan Austin, responded to the morning blaze. (RL)
