NO?ONE?can stop this Joukanal.
Shoppers in Bridgetown, however, were stopped in their tracks yesterday as they got a taste of what it would be like come next Saturday when revellers in the island’s latest carnival hit the street from the Party Stand, Harbour Road, around 2:30 p.m.
Joukanal Carnival, organised by bandleader Chetwin Stewart following the cancellation of the University of West Indies Cave Hill carnival – begins at Party Stand and goes along Spring Garden to the Frank Worrell Roundabout and then back to Harbour Road.
Joukanal will be preceded by a J’ouvert on the Friday night from 10 and on the Saturday there will an after-party.
