BROTHERS NIGEL AND ATHEL WILLIAMS’ love for their father was evident as they celebrated with him and wished him a happy 100th birthday yesterday.
Birthday boy Oliver Williams said he was feeling happy and content by the grace of God to have reached 100 years of age. He credited his long life to loving and serving God, something his eight children said he also instilled in them.
When Governor-General Sir Elliott Belgrave visited Williams at the home of his daughter Yvonne, at Plantain Walk, Forde’s Road, St Michael, they had a chat and shared a toast. The centenarian also put his memory to the test by recalling his days growing up in Mangrove Pond, St Thomas, as well as his work life.
Daddy’s big day.
