Barbados out front against Leewards

BARBADOS TOOK first innings lead in their Regional Four-Day Cricket match against the Leewards today in Antigua.
After bowling out the home side for 94, Barbados are 167 for one. Captain Kraigg Brathwaite was unbeaten on 73 and batting with Kirk Edwards (10). Opener Omar Phillips was out for 79 late in the day, off the bowling of Anthony Martin.
Earlier, spinner Ashley Nurse took four for 24 to rout the Leewards.
Wicketkeeper Devon Thomas did the bulk of the scoring with 30, but no one else reached 20. Kieran Powell got 16, Yannick Leonard 15 and Jaison Peters 14.
Jonathan Carter took two for eight and Sulieman Benn two for nine.
