Lee: PSV owners hurt

OUTRAGED that Government abruptly ended its fuel subsidy to them the minibus and ZR community say they are hurting badly from that move and may seek a fare increase to ease their pain.
Interim chairman of the Association of Private Transport Operators (APTO), Morris Lee, told the SUNDAY?SUN a meeting is planned for this afternoon to discuss “the way forward”.
Lee said the meeting would discuss not only the impact of the cessation of the fuel subsidy but other matters critical to the industry.
“The immediate impact has caused the price of fuel to skyrocket to the tune of 48 cents more a litre and essentially it will create major difficulties for the operators in terms of expenditure.
