Canteen operator Raymond Belgrave suffered a major loss yesterday when the childhood home he was about to repair was destroyed by fire.
The 40-year-old had to be consoled at the scene in Westbury Road, St Michael, as he saw the uninsured house in ruins. Firefighters arrived in time to stop the blaze from spreading to other homes.
