When?Jillica?Carter was on her way to style a friend’s hair yesterday morning, she saw someone’s feet lying in a shed at a house in Parish Land, Christ Church.
She thought nothing of it until later when she was told it was the body of her uncle, Selwyn “Gubbs” Carter.
“I saw the feet, but I did not pay it any mind,” said Jillica.
“I went up and came back down and a fella asked me if my uncle at home. I said I did not know and he said, ‘come and tell me if this is him in the shed’.  When I went it was him,” she said.
“I thought he was just knocked out and would wake up, but not dead,” she cried.
The deceased’s nephew, Jeavon Carter, who was one of the first to see his body, said his mother told him they found his uncle, but he was not moving, ‘so go and see what happened to him’.
Jeavon said as he got closer to where he was he started to holler for Carter, but he did not answer. It was only when he got closer that he saw the bruises and cuts.
