The mother and daughter who were charged last December with assaulting Parkinson Memorial Secondary School principal Jeff Broomes have brought a cross charge against him.

The women are claiming that Broomes unlawfully assaulted them on that same date, December 10. Helen Gill, 54, of Christ Church, and Danissa Foster, 21, of St Michael, filed a private complaint through their attorneys Andrew Clarke and Kevin Miller.

In the case of Gill, her complaint specified that Broomes drove his jeep at her and caused her bodily harm.

Gill and Foster appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistartes’ Court last December, accused of assaulting Broomes.

They were also charged with being persons who lawfully entered the premises of the school and misconducted themselves by behaving in a threatening manner.
