GAL FRIDAY: A ‘SIL’ for my ‘BRA’?

It is said that the pooch is man’s best friend. If this is true, then why is it that some folks have the poor things tied up all day, without the necessary exercise? Cuhdear, have a heart when it comes to the animals, please! Now that I’ve got that off my chest, let’s talk about this BRA thing.
Anyone who’s been around me knows my partiality to Coke. Not Dudus and not the thing that people sniff that is not an inhaler. Coca-Cola, lovely Coca-Cola.
Aren’t you loving the mini-sized versions that we’re getting these days?
I feel like Goldilocks now! The big ones were too big, the medium-sized ones were still too much, but these small Cokes? Just right! But . . . has ANYBODY gotten the ‘SIL’ to my ‘BRA’?
If you have, maybe we can get together. I have over 30  ‘BRAs’ and keep emptying more bottles to fill my cups, hoping I’d get the ‘SIL’ to make BRA-SIL, so I can enter the World Cup competition.
No such luck yet; and drinking Coke till my eyes are turning brown! I have to admit, Coke-makers, that I’m a bit offset. After more than three dozen beverages, I can’t seem to get those three little letters.
As I mentioned being offset, I am sure many of you watch the nightly news on our local station. Why – please, tell me why, CBC – do you choose to play some of the sweetest fillers and chop them so indiscriminately? I was in Oistins for fish and started to groove to my boy Peabo singing By The Time This Night Is Over. Before I could even feel the first line of the first chorus, the song was over!
With more discerning timing, I’m sure you can make smoother, more pleasurable insertions. But, oh gosh, don’t cut people like Peabo so, please!
And it wasn’t only me who was vex. The lady next to me started to curse bare Rihanna-word too! The said lady had some eyelashes longer than Rapunzel’s armpit hair (but not longer than her very own).
We had an extended wait together, since some tourists came after us, but were served before.  Foul-mouthed and hairy-eyed, she proceeded to tell me of her many “man issues”. I listened as empathetically as a woman with no such issues could and came to the conclusion that she must have seen more man troubles than local urologist Jerry Emtage.
While tearily relaying her masculine miseries, one of her eyelashes became unstuck. If this ever happens to you, it is the most distracting thing you may ever experience while trying to listen to someone. She mentioned something about bedroom eyes and not paying attention, but instead of listening I was eyeing her eyelash all the time.
My eyes had had it. I absolutely had to ask her about the undone eyelash. But, perhaps saved by the yell, I glanced towards the shouter who sounded the readiness of my meal and never looked back.
