St John men on drug charges

THREE MEN HAVE been charged separately with drug offences following an operation by the police Drug Squad and Special Services Unit in Henley, St John today.
Police say a search warrant was executed at the residence of 54-year-old Charles Ernest Padmore and ten cannabis plants were found under cultivation in his enclosed yard. The plants were six feet high and weighed 14 pounds.
Meanwhile, nine plants weighing 2.5 pounds were found under cultivation on the property of 38-year-old Everton Carlo Evelyn after a search warrant was executed at his home.
Two pounds of loose cannabis was also found in the house of the 38-year-old professional athlete.
A search warrant was also executed at the home of 29-year-old Jamel Kerry Evelyn. Twenty seedlings weighing 19 grammes were found under cultivation on his property while three pounds of loose cannabis was also discovered.
All three men were arrested and charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation of cannabis. They are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, 98 cannabis plants which ranged in height from four inches to four feet were discovered in a bushy area. No arrests were made. (PR/NB)
