The National Cultural Foundation has taken the decision to postpone the MQI/Banks/LIME Pic-O-De-Crop Finals for 24 hours.
Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley confirmed today the Finals will be staged at Kensington Oval tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
The Emancipation Walk and Ceremony has also been postponed, but the opening of Bridgetown Market and Roberts/BL&P Foreday Morning will continue as scheduled.
Although the Tropical Storm warning has been discontinued, the impending heavy rain and gusty winds could cause significant damage to the equipment needed to run the show.
Meanwhile, the NATION also advises subscribers to the Crop Over Central pay-per-view package that live streaming will still be done of the show.
Those who are yet to sign up can still do so. The stream is available to international audiences only.
Crop Over Central will be hosted by Andi Thornhill, with guests Anthony “Gabby” Carter and historian Trevor Marshall. Soca queen Alison Hinds will join the discussion via skype from Canada.
