BARBADIANS ARE BEING asked to help save the life of an 11-day-old baby with major medical expenses.
Sebastian Mitchell who has a very rare congenital heart disease is being taken to Colombia to have the surgery done there at the Fundacion Cardioinfantil hospital in Bogota which offers specialized paediatric intensive care.
The baby’s uncle Corey Mitchell said the original plan was to send him to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, but that proved to be too expensive and the surgeons could not deal with the matter immediately, so they recommended the hospital in Colombia.
The treatment in Colombia is expected to cost approximately US$200 000.
Donations can be made at any branch of First Citizens Bank at account number 10000202218. (ES)
