The walls of the home of Janeil Odle and her parents in St George could not contain their excitement on receiving news last night that the blind Barbados Community College student had created history when she won a Barbados Exhibition with the release of the names of this year’s scholarship and exhibition winners.
Blind since the age of six, Odle will be able to fulfil her dream of becoming an attorney-at-law as the confident youngster has been accepted by the University of the West Indies to pursue a law degree.
Here, Janeil linking hands with her mother Heather Odle as they shared the joy of her latest academic achievement.
