Kraigg Brathwaite cashed in on a tame Bangladesh attack and a flat Arnos Vale pitch to put the West Indies in a strong position on the opening day of their first Test in St Vincent yesterday.

The 21-year-old right-hander was unbeaten on 123 as the West Indies, who were sent in to bat on a good batting strip, closed at 264 for three.

He got good support from left-handers Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo, both of whom made half-centuries. (MK)
