With countless hits since his rise to the dancehall reggae scene in 2000, popular Jamaican artiste I-Octane has added to that list with his just released single, Rich Rich Rich, produced by emerging record label Tru Ambassador Music.
The song which was written by CEO and producer of the label Jahvel Jahvy Morrison speaks of the memories of the struggles of life but climaxes quickly to a catchy hook that penetrates deeply that success is inevitable with continuous hard work.
The lyrics of the song are complemented by a soulful groovy acoustic track that sets the tone for a long-standing composition for fans of all ages. I-Octane told the WEEKEND BUZZ after returning from a trip overseas that he and the young producer had been working on the track for some time and expressed confidence that the track will do well.
The single was released last week on radio stations worldwide.
Born Byiome Muir, I-Octane, is an electrifying reggae and dancehall artist from Clarendon, Jamaica.
The soulful Rastafarian singer is known both locally and internationally for incorporating positive and socially purposeful subject matters into his music, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and cultural Jamaican teachings.
I-Octane who has maintained his presence on the scene since he emerged and has performed in Barbados, says he’s delighted to work with talented new and upcoming dancehall reggae producers as it helps to bring and keep a fresh sound to the genre.
The artiste elaborates that he spends a lot of time in studio with young producers in an effort to make quality records using his experience from the industry over years as a guide to getting the best quality in creating a substantial record.
“I was introduced to Jahvy through TJ Records and ZJ Chrome. They both had good to say about the young producer and as soon as I listened his materials I was inclined to work with him as well.”
Tru Ambassador Music is owned and operated by producer and songwriter Jahvy. The 23-year-old recently completed a two-year contract with dancehall artist Konshens which saw him touring with the artiste as a keyboardist and band leader. (NS/PR)
