GEORGETOWN – Captain Carlos Brathwaite is giving the praise to his veterans.

And saying a belated happy birthday to Barbados, after his Barbados Pride won in the most of miraculous circumstances in their Professional Cricket League (PCL) match at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence yesterday.

The Pride were able to truly snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, as all-rounder Dwayne Smith starred in beating Guyana Jaguars by two runs to send shockwaves through the inaugural PCL tournament.

Smith’s maiden first-class five-wicket haul helped the Pride seal the astonishing come-from-behind victory in their third-round contest.
