A YOUNG WOMAN has found a creative way to finance her studies at university.
Akela Monerville’s desire to study a dual master’s in business and film has taken her to the stage.
Tomorrow, she will be putting on her first production, a play entitled Santa’s Rescue at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed.
The 22-year-old woman who is studying for a bachelor’s degree in sociology and law at the Cave Hill Campus said her goal was to become a producer and film-maker.
“I found a dual masters in business and film-making at New York University but the tuition is US$185 000, so I decided to put on a play so I can understand what goes into being a producer.”
Akela took to social media to advertise for casting for the play. (MB)
