A Bajan Christmas Medley with a twist is a new CD that has a selection of four popular Christmas songs done in “a fresher, younger vibe”.
“It’s a rootsy type of CD, coming off the 1970s reggae feel. Derek Wilkie came up with the idea of redoing the songs,” explained Tabitha, well known singer and one of the voices on the track along with Jason Waithe, the first Courts Super Star winner and a runner-up in Richard Stoute Teen Talent Contest.
To support the four locally written tracks – Maizie (RPB), This Christmas (Shawn Thomas), Gather All The Children (Biggie Irie) and This Christmas Feeling (Emile Straker) – is sax player Joseph Callender who takes us on a sleigh ride with his sax instrumental. (NS)
