Centenarian shares memories

He stands erect. He walks without assistance. He is still a licensed driver – and he is 100 years old.

These are but a few of the outstanding things about birthday boy Winston “Woody” Richardson, who was yesterday celebrated as the island’s newest centenarian. He made a specially arranged visit to Government House to see Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave.

Richardson, who walked from the parked car and up the driveway to the main entrance, also stood when Sir Elliott arrived.
