PROMINENT ATTORNEY AT LAW Hal Gollop is tipped to take over as chairman of the Employment Rights Tribunal.

Government is expected to confirm Gollop as the new head of the tribunal, which was hit by the mass resignation of eight of its nine members last month.

That action further delayed the work of the tribunal, which is to hear about 70 cases, prominent among them being those of dismissed workers of the National Conservation Commission (NCC).

When contacted yesterday about whether he had been offered the position and had accepted, Gollop said: “I only confirm things when I have documentary evidence in hand.”
