Weir upset by doc’s comment

These are the words of advice to president of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP), Dr Carlos Chase, from long-standing patient care advocate Shelly Weir, who is also president of the Hope Foundation, a health charity.

She has not taken kindly to comments Chase made in his New Year wish list published in the January 1 DAILY NATION in which he stated that the Patient Care Committee at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) was chaired by a member of the board and there was no doctor.

Weir, a member of the QEH’s board, is head of its committee. (ES)
