IT’S HARD to keep a good man down. Literally.
Down but not out, pugilist Shawn Terry Cox rebounded from a couple of knockdowns – and his dire financial position – to record a sensational third round knockout victory in his latest bout three weeks ago in Colombia.
Facing hometown hero Santander Silgado in front a boisterous crowd, Cox floored the former world title challenger with an overhand left despite falling to the canvas several times in the previous rounds.
“In the first round he knocked me down three or four times and in the second round he knocked me down twice, and then he stunned me again but he realised that I wasn’t going anywhere,” said the 40-year-old southpaw
