Five granted bail

ALL FIVE OF THE so-called Cartoon Bandits were granted bail when they appeared in the Holetown Magistrates Court today.

Damien Jamar Jamal Bruce, 23, of Haynesville; Rachad Shaquille Rock, 18, of Central Drive, Haynesville; Romario Adrian Payne, 18, of Haynesville; Savio Jamal Haynes, 18, of Durants Village, Holders Hill, and Curtis Rio Alleyne, 17, also of Haynesville, were all granted bail of $2 000.

They were all placed on dusk to dawn curfew and are scheduled to return to court on March 18.

The five were jointly charged with robbing University of the West Indies student Kasim Queeley of a hat, a pair of shades and a cellphone, all worth $520, last Christmas Eve. (Coastline Communication)
