Duo cleans up

PORGIE & MURDA and Lead Pipe & Saddis, one and the same, showed that they are more than flavour of the month by copping the most awards at the 10th annual showing of the Barbados Music Awards (BMAs) at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Sunday.

After capturing the imagination of those on the club circuit with a popular comedic dance routine and hook Condense, the two bursting on to the entertainment scene about two years ago, seem to have secured for themselves a place in the Barbados folklore.

There is also a lot of buzz about their impact in the Trinidad market, so it could be said that that was behind the sweep at the BMAs that captured a sizeable amount of the 40 000 votes cast during the blitz on social media.
