IT WAS more than a feeling for duo Lead Pipe & Saddis, also known as Porgie & Murda, as they captured the hearts and most trophies at the Barbados Music Awards at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Sunday night.
The two, who rose to fame over the past two years with infectious hooklines and creative dance moves, took home five awards comprising some of the major categories – Band/Group/ Duo Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year, Song Of The Year (Ah Feeling), Soca/Calypso Artist Of The Year and Making It Against All Odds Award.
The awards also featured a wide range of local entertainment and was hosted by international actor Boris Kudjoe and local broadcaster Kirk Brown of 98.1 The One.
Shirley Murdock, R&B legend and gospel singer, also delighted the crowd with some of her hits – As We Lay and I Am Telling You. (JS)
