JAMAICAN Kenton Roy Campbell was fined $10 000 forthwith or one year in prison when he appeared in the Oistins Magistrates Court today.

Members of the drug squad arrested and charged 26-year-old Campbell, with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis.

Campbell arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport on January 28, from Jamaica. After being interviewed by police, he was referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he subsequently passed 40 packages of the drug, weighing one pound in total.

He was fined for $10 000 for importation, but received a CRD – convicted, reprimanded and discharged – on the other charges. (PR/SAT)
