Two Guyanese nationals charged

THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Guyanese national Dennis France was arrested and charged with drug offences for cocaine.

And further investigations by police led to the arrest of compatriot Lloydanna Morris, 23.

France, who lives in Rendezvous, Christ Church, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and acts preparatory for the trafficking of cocaine.

On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at his residence and one kilo of cocaine was discovered and seized.

Morris was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

Police investigations revealed that she arrived in Barbados on Tuesday with the cocaine and later handed it to France.

France and Morris appeared separately in the Oistins Magistrates Court on Friday and both pleaded guilty to all their charges. 

He was fined $60 000 forthwith on the charge of possession or two years in prison and was convicted, reprimanded and discharged (CRD on the remaining charges.
