POLICE YESTERDAY made a major breakthrough in the murder of 22-year-old Lamar Devere Carter, of Spring Farm, St Thomas, arresting one of the suspects as he attempted to flee the island.

The man, reported to be in his mid-30s, was held at Grantley Adams International Airport while he was checking in at an airline counter, having been booked on a flight to the United States.

When contacted last night, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Mark Thompson confirmed the arrest and said investigators were looking for other people in connection with Carter’s death.
