Three charged in Scotiabank robbery

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged a Christ Church family in connection with the January 27 robbery of Scotiabank, Black Rock, St Michael.

They are 20-year-old Malcolm Archer of Lowthers Hill, St Patricks, his stepfather Adrian Pinder, 50, of the same address and his mother Mohandair Durga-Pinder of Browne’s Gap, Sargeant Village.

Archer has been charged with the aggravated burglary in connection with the bank incident as well a November 5, 2014 robbery. He was also charged with possession of two grammes of cannabis, found on him when he was arrested.

His stepfather has been charged with handling stolen property while his mother was charged with money laundering.

A portion of the money was recovered.

The trio is expected to appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today. (PR/NB)
