A REJUVENATED MIGUEL CUMMINS rediscovered his best form to bowl Barbados Pride to the brink of a sizeable first-innings advantage over Guyana Jaguars on a rain-affected second day of the seventh-round, top-of-the-table WICB PCL Regional Four-Day match.
Persistent, moderate showers resulted in the loss of the entire morning session but a fiery Cummins, supported by fellow fast bowler Tino Best and spinners Ashley Nurse and Jomel Warrican, made up for lost time by reducing the Guyanese to 173 for nine after the home team moved from an overnight 258 for five to 312 all out.
Opening bat Vishaul Singh and all-rounder Christopher Barnwell were the only Guyanese batsmen to resist the Barbadian bowlers, both stroking attractive half-centuries, but the visitors still trailed their hosts by 139 runs going into the third day.
