BARBADOS PRIDE have pushed the lead over Guyana Jaguars to 215 runs as their seventh-round WICB PCL 4-Day cricket match continues at Kensington Oval.

It came on the backs of half centuries by openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Kyle Corbin and The Pride reached 124 for two at tea in their second innings.

Brathwaite remains not out on 55, but soon after scoring his first regional half century for Barbados, Corbin (52), was caught by Devendra Bishoo off the bowling of Ronsford Beaton.

Kirk Edwards’ struggles with the bat continued. Even as Barbados were trying to push the score, he faced 27 deliveries, scoring only one run, before becoming Beaton’s second scalp.

Shai Hope joined captain Brathwaite and is 12 not out.

Summarised scores:

Barbados Pride 312 and 124-2 in 41 overs (Kraigg Brathwaite 55 n.o., Kyle Corbin 52, Shai Hope 12 n.o.; Ronsford Beaton 2-37). Guyana Jaguars 221 in 59 overs. Barbados Pride lead by 215 runs.
