IT IS impossible to achieve excellence without strong leadership.
So said Prime Minister Freundel Stuart when he delivered the feature address yesterday at the opening of the Week Of Excellence organised by the Social Partners in collaboration with the Central Bank and the National Productivity Council. It took place at the Grande Salle of the Central Bank.
Making reference to the theme, Bridging The Gap – Today’s Leaders, Tomorrow’s Prospects, Stuart said frequently when the term leadership was used in Barbados, there was a tendency to assume that it related only to political leadership.
“However, the reality is that the successful development of a nation requires good leadership at all levels,” he said.
