BARBADOS PRIDE will take a 53-run lead into tomorrow’s third day of the eighth round WICB PCL 4-Day cricket match against the Leeeward Islands Hurricanes.
Playing at Warner Park, Barbados recovered from an early wobble to post 268 for six in reply to the Leewards 215.
Captain Kraigg Brathwaite (21) was uncharacteristically first to fall, with Kirk Edwards (9) and Shai Hope (0) following, leaving the team on 56 for three.
But half centuries from a resolute Kyle Corbin (75), Kevin Stoute (63) and Shane Dowrich, who is not out on 65, as well as 25 from Roston Chase, saw them to a respectable score.
Rahkeem Cornwall has so far taken three wickets for 57 runs.
