Bajans pull back Vincies

BARBADOS’ NEW-LOOK youthful men’s football team continued their unbeaten run when they drew 2-2 with St Vincent and the Grenadines on Sunday night at the National Stadium.

After falling behind as early as the third minute, compliments a strike from Juma Gilkes, Barbados replied courtesy of two defensive errors from the visitors.

Hadan Holligan was on the door step to equalise in the 12th minute while Romario Harewood gave Barbados a slight lead five minutes later.

Tevin Slater tied the scores again late in the 87th minute to create a nervy three plus minutes for both teams.

After Friday’s sluggish and sub-par performance the “Vincy” boys, with the inclusion of eight players, who did not start in the first game, came out with an early sense of purpose.
