BKA honours leading karatekas

THE BARBADOS KARATE ASSOCIATION (BKA) honoured some of its outstanding athletes for 2014 at an awards ceremony recently at Queen’s College.

However, it would appear the year was a very competitive one as a number of athletes tied for the top spot in various divisions.

The top adult awards had to be shared as 2013 winner Janelle Linton continued to show her consistency. She shared the award for Most Outstanding Female with Allison James, who proved she was a worthy contender.

In the Adult Men’s category it was a similar result. The 2013 winner Corey Greaves, who was captain of the Barbados team in 2014, was again very consistent and shared the award with Andre Lovell.
