A MIXTURE OF YOUTH and experience of both “man and machine” make up the composition of a four-car Barbados team to Rally Trinidad later this month.
Heading the list is the pair of Andrew Mallalieu and Sean Gill, former June Rally winners, in the Group N Terra Caribbean Subaru Impreza N10. They will no doubt be out to roll back the years in the hope of finding winners’ row.
Mallalieu has been active, but Gill, who has been out of competition for the past three years has been on a fitness routine cycling around the island in the company of other drivers such as Roger “The Ninja” Hill, Mark Hamilton and former co-driver David Stoute.
The rest of the team includes Stewart McChlery and Avinash Chatrani in the Lubriguard/Gunk Ford Escort MkI, Harold Morley and Bobby Maharaj in a Group N Subaru Impreza R4 and Wayne Archer and Derek Edwards in the Archers Hall Design Centre/Diamonds International/Hankook Tyres BMW 325.
